Hack Static discovered music in a way that feels almost antiquated in the age of SoundCloud — by cranking a radio to whatever crackling college station could be picked up from their bedroom. A computer nerd at heart, when they saw software that could make music on a computer, they knew they had to have it. Fast-forward 20 years, and you can hear the influences of those experimental college-radio sounds woven through futuristic trap, tech house, and EDM.
